Selling my saxophone?
Ok I'm selling my alto sax. Do you think I'd be better off selling it in a music store or online? About how much do you think I could get for it?
Conditions:
I got it about four years ago.
It's in really good condition (no dents or anything like that, just a few hardly noticable scratches)
It sounds great
It's a Conn and cost my parents over $1000 originally.
I'd be selling it with the case, neckstrap, and mothpiece)
A couple of pics of it:

On the second one you can see the scratches around the bell I was talking about.
So like I said, how much money do you think it's worth?
You can possibly get more from selling it online or in the paper, but possibly not. It all depends on how bad someone wants to buy it. The music store, if they buy it back, would probably only take fair market value or less (so they can make up the difference of repairs before re-selling). Unfortunately for a sax like that, I'd only expect to get $500 or so for it. You might possibly get more, but there are a lot of those, more used than yours that still play just as well as yours, for less than $500.
