lacrosse player help me?
should i get these pads? http://www.sportstop.com/Mens-Lacrosse-Equipment/Gloves/Brine-King-Jr-Lacrosse-Protective-Starter-Set im playing for the first time this year and i am a freshman in high school... will these work for me?
I had those pads my freshmen year. They are easily one of the most comfortable pads/gloves I've ever worn (at all levels). The three disadvantages are that
1) They get dirty pretty fast, so you'll be wearing brown and green stains pretty soon...
2) They break apart within two seasons. My gloves didn't even last one
3) They don't offer the best protection. I fractured my finger through the glove (but I was also sprinting right into a 200lb kid so I was asking for it)
Although there are better pads, overall, I would totally recommend these for anybody starting off, and even maybe intermediate players. Probably some of the best starting pads out there. They are comfy, flexible, and overall great.
PS: Go to your local lacrosse store and check out your size before buying them for a reduced price online. You don't want to be running around in oversized pads: you look goofy and they inhibit your performance
