Tenor or alto sax?

I want to learn to play an instrument and i'm thinking about the sax. I was just wondering which you prefer out of the two and which one is easier, more versatile, funner (is that a word?) and just all around better to learn. I have no real music knowledge so anything will be helpful! Thanks guys!!

I personally love the alto. I think it has a waaaaay nicer tone than the tenor. I think I'm in the minority when I say that though. Alto is probably easier in that its smaller so you don't need as much air to get the low notes out. Also its easier to carry around as its lighter! More versatile? Again, I'd say the alto as you can play jazz on it obviously, but also most of the non-jazz music written for sax is for alto or soprano, rarely tenor. The tenor is a real jazz instrument! Funner? Lets make it a word! I like it! Again, I'd say alto, but maybe I'm biased! All around better to learn? Hmmmm... ah lets just say alto again! But don't forget, once you're able to play one of them, you'll be able to play all of them. The fingerings are the same. Could you tell I'm an alto player?!
